Detached Forever !

Johny.

Yes, the nursery rhyme Johny is back.

Not to say 'Yes, Papa' this time, but to say 'Papa, where are you?' with all his might.

Why would he say so?

It was night time and supper was just over. Johny, now 6, was in his room, albeit confused whether he would give sleep a try or try a new game.

"May be housie with mommy and daddy. No wait, ludo."

"No, no I am grown up now. Let it be chess."

"No, I have played these all. I want something new. Something that I can play on my own! Something, something no one has played before."

With something special in mind, Johny went straight to the balcony.

"The stars are glittering so clear this night." Johny stretched his hand towards the stars. He badly wanted to grab the most shining ones.

Johny couldn't grab one. They seemed so near, yet so far.

Dejected, he moved towards his room. He wasn't even looking in the front.

Suddenly something caught the attention of his gaze.

"Whoa! Yeayyyyyyyyy!"

He was jumping up and down in sheer exhilaration.

The room had gone dark, but for the presence of a whole lot of tiny, glittering, cool stars.

Stars that you could touch and bring close to your face. Stars that you could toss up in the air. Stars that you could tap like a ball. Stars so soft that you could try to chew as well, yet their gleam won't be gone!

Johny was ecstatic to say the least. He ran and looked around. They were in different shapes and sizes.

He laid his hand upon one that fitted perfectly his little hand's grasp.

He began cuddling the star. These stars had awed him to the core always, and tonight he was in the midst of them, spoilt for choice.

Johny jumped straight into a group of stars assorted on his bed. He was really liking the way these stars were bouncing on the bed.

The stars were keeping him indulged, and a lot of time seemed to get passed.

Johny was tired and sleepy now. But he wanted to show these stars to his Dad.

He rushed towards the door. But, there was NO door.

What?? Yeah, there was NO door!

"There used to be a door. I always used to run outside from here. On the right would be the mom-dad's room." Johny was feeling anxious now.

He wanted to reach out to his mom and dad. He was trying to call but he was not able to hear his own voice. He was surprised as to why he was not able to utter even a sound. He had begun to get afraid.

He ran to the corner where the door used to be and began knocking. There was wall over there now.

He kept knocking and knocking.

Slowly, he began to 'feel the door'.

"Yes, the door is coming. Great, Johny, keep knocking"

"Daa...d. Dad." His voice was coming back too.

And like a burst of a cracker, he opened his eyes only to see his Dad knocking his door.

"Good morning, Sonny. Hope you had a sound sleep."

"Whoa, what a dream!" was all Johny could say.
